Resin Balloons
September - December 2019
These images have been captured by creating resin balls by coating round balloons with resin.Â
Once the supporting structure having been removed, the balloon within would detach from the interior of the resin orb.Â
These images capture that quick reaction in materials, with the use of lighting and then photoshop to tidy up the raw images.
Invasive Nanos
September - December 2019
These resin coated balloons were used in an attempt to capture the power of a pigment blast within it, with the use of ultraviolet pigment powder.
The planetary appearance lending itself to the context of plastics taking over our own planet.
A paradox in materials and context.

Bricks Of Being
September - December 2019
In taking a single piece of paper folded in a tessellation pattern, I created a mold to then cast several resin bricks from.
Each brick has different added elements, from ultraviolet colours to pigments or organic materials added; In my thinking to be seen along the lines of the building blocks of our DNA structure.
These bricks then magnetically click together, to be hung onto a wall or surface.
The use of an ultraviolet light as an uplighter then highlights the pigments used.
The materials used flow along the lines I've been working with, combining the contradiction of natural versus plastic.
The original piece of paper, to the plastic then used to capture and regenerate that same structure.
Plastics overpowering natural, but in doing so resulting in something pleasing to the eye: our consumption of what we find pleasing, then leading to our own consumption; smothering our planet with plastic, to then find ourselves being consumed by it.

Dust & The Tree Of Life
March 2019
This aluminium print was created from images captured during photo/video shoots involving the use of dust being exploded over a white tree. The pure white tree signifying the tree of life and pure creation in natural growth, and the dust focusing on the regeneration of life surrounding the tree of life. Our life cycle, from dust and to dust.

Regeneration Eggs
March 2019
In my focus on regeneration in life, my attention was drawn towards eggs and their power of life. Almost magical in function and power of development, yet overlooked with ease and merely consumed.
I air dried dozens of eggs over a number of weeks, with some surprising and aesthetically pleasing results, leading to pieces being amber like in appearance, with an unusual strength and sharp edges, while still remaining fragile and in need of protection.
